A bit about the maker Lancaster and Gibbings...
Based in Devon, Jim Lancaster, who trained in Fine Art at Newcastle Polytechnic and his small team design and produce fine pieces in Pewter. Pewter is soft, heavy, and very expensive (the fourth most expensive metal in general use after platinum, gold, and silver) and it is the medium Jim has worked in since he and his late wife set up the business back 1994. 

May says: The name of this floral design is a nod to Jim's partner's late mother who lived in the North Devon village of Goodleigh where she was a very keen gardener and award winning flower arranger.
