Chrysanthemum Photo Frames

Regular price £32.00

A handmade cast pewter photo frame inspired by Japanese prints where the Chrysanthemum represents Autumn.  It is often used as a floral offering in Buddhist Cultures. In Japan, Chrysanthemums are also celebrated for bringing good health and longevity.

Pewter lends itself perfectly to our new design giving texture and depth to replicate these beautiful delicate flowers.

Moreover, the sentiment of good health and longevity lend themselves perfectly to a photo frame.

A bit about the maker Lancaster and Gibbings...
Based in Devon, Jim Lancaster, who trained in Fine Art at Newcastle Polytechnic and his small team design and produce fine pieces in Pewter. Pewter is soft, heavy, and very expensive (the fourth most expensive metal in general use after platinum, gold, and silver) and it is the medium Jim has worked in since he and his late wife set up the business back 1994.
